These experiments were inspired by the work of our award-winning furniture expert, Ben Mee, who has produced stunning wall decorations for clients around the world, including the New York City Ballet, the New Yorker, The Washington Post, The New Yorker and more.
To find out what works for you, we tested dozens of wall decor ideas from leading designers, including Ben Maberry, Ben Pinto, Jann Soder, John Lott, Roberta Mckinnon, Robert Zuckerman, James Mabry, Matthew Rios, Sarah Womack and Jodi Bialik.
We then compared them to other designs on the market to get a sense of what works best for you.
We also tried to determine how much of each design you might be willing to spend on, so we could determine how well it would hold up over time.
Our results showed that the designs with the most custom-designed and highly personalized looks tend to be more aesthetically pleasing than others.
In other words, the best decor will work best if you’re willing to pay for it.
And to make it even more interesting, we also tested each wall design on a different personality trait that is associated with an individual’s personal style.
